Two interactive sessions will explore innovative ways that the Arts can be utilised to support and engage EAL/D learners.

- Write a rap in one lesson! : Using hip-hop pedagogy to teach English to speakers of other languages
Presenter Charlie Thomson
This workshop will explore the enactment of hip-hop pedagogy by examining the practices of educators in their professional practice, specifically those who teach English to speakers of other languages. Attention will be given to the nurturance of collaborative approaches such as affinity groups and “hip-hop ciphers”, which involve individuals relating together in a collaborative space based on their shared interests, aspirations and approaches.Synopsis and Presenter Bio CLICK HERE
