Membership
QATESOL advocates on behalf of teachers and learners and fosters professional development in ESOL. We do this by:
- Providing professional learning including workshops, conferences and seminars
- Publishing a newsletter for QATESOL members 3 to 4 times a year
- Advocating for the needs of our learners
- Responding to local and national educational innitiatives and policies on ESOL issues
- Working with other states through the Australian Council of TESOL Associations (ACTA)
- Distributing ACTA information and publications to QATESOL members
- Supporting QATSOL members to attend professional learning opportunities
- Diseminating relevant information from local, national and international sources
- Promoting research in our area though the Anna Kohler fund and QATESOL Newsletter
